Local pharmacists are able to advise and prescribe for minor illnesses. This include headaches, back pain, insect bites, heartburn, nasal congestion, sore throats, earaches, sinusitis, impetigo, shingles, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women.

There is a minor injury unit situated in Townlands Hospital in the centre of Henley. This unit is open 9am – 8pm every day including weekends and bank holidays. Ideally, call ahead on 01865 903703
Minor Injury Units (MIUs) offer advice and treatment for a variety of injuries including; cuts, grazes, wounds, sprains, minor eye injuries, strains and minor burns. If you have an injury and you’re unsure where to go for help, it’s best to contact NHS111 for advice first.
There is a walk in GP service (Reading Urgent Care Centre) in Reading which is open from 8am – 8pm every day including weekends and bank holidays (even on Christmas day).
