Dr Unwin has been with the Hart Surgery for over 35 years and has known several generations of many of our patients. Previously senior partner, he has stepped back from a management role but still provides GP care as well as being one of our leads on minor surgery which he has a keen interest in. Dr Unwin is also the Hart Surgery’s learning disability and autism champion and he has a real heart for these patients and their support network.
His main interests outside work are diggers, tractors and boats. He collects first edition (mostly children’s) books and is involved with Kamuli Hospital in Uganda where he volunteers from time to time.
Dr Jo Kyte qualified at Bristol University in 2008. She went on to start speciality training in Oncology at St Bart’s Hospital in London and then worked in Acute Medicine before training to become a GP. Her particular areas of interest are Oncology, Palliative Care, Acute Medicine and Maternal Health.
Dr Kyte lives with her 3 (very energetic) children and (less energetic) husband. Hopefully a dog will join them next year. Dr Kyte loves spending time with her friends and family, cooking and some occasional retail therapy!
Dr Caroline Hall qualified from King’s College, University of London in 2013. She worked as a hospital doctor in London and Brighton before completing her GP training at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. She worked as a GP Registrar in Victoria and then as a Salaried GP in Pimlico. Prior to embarking on a career in medicine at age 26, Caroline worked in Arts/Media, having graduated from Manchester University in 2001 with a BA Honours degree in History of Art. After over 20 years living and working in London, she recently returned to Henley where she grew up.
She joined the Hart Surgery as a part-time Salaried GP and her particular interests include womens’ health and paediatrics.
She lives locally with her son. She is enjoying reconnecting with childhood friends, making new connections and spending quality time with family. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, music and cooking.
Tee Balakumar qualified as a Physician Associate (PA) in April 2019 from the University of Wolverhampton. She has since worked across general practices in London with some experience in A&E. She is a medically trained, generalist healthcare professional, who works alongside our GPs to provide medical care.
When not at work, she loves spending time with her family and is a keen interior designer. She is currently looking to home a dog.
