Hart Surgery to stop giving Covid vaccinations from end of November

HenleySonNet PCN (The Bell Surgery, The Hart Surgery, Nettlebed Surgery and Sonning Common Health Centre) has officially given notice to withdraw from the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme and this will be effective from the end of November. By that time as a PCN, we would have delivered more than 45,000 vaccinations as PCN with the Hart patients making up around 16.000 of that total.

It has been a challenging year for all to deliver the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme in tandem with the operations of the Practice but this could not have been achieved without the brilliant effort of all our staff and a long list of volunteers and supporters of all four Practices. We now feel that after a year of being a part of the Vaccination Programme, delivering the Booster Vaccine to Stage 1 (Cohorts 1-4 which includes the most at risk), is the right time to step back and provide a stronger focus on our patients as we enter into the winter period.

We will continue to announce further Booster Clinics during October and November to invite eligible groups of patients where their 2nd COVID-19 vaccination was 6 months or more ago.

Any patient eligible for a booster who had their 2nd vaccine after 31st May should book a Booster vaccine via the National Booking Service.
