Ways to book (or cancel) an appointment online.

1. Use the NHS App on your Smartphone

The easiest way to book online is to download and use the NHS App on a smartphone. Owned and run by the NHS, your NHS account is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services online including access to your medical history and the ordering of repeat prescriptions. You can also obtain your Covid pass through the NHS App. For more information see The NHS App

2. Log on to your NHS Account on your computer

Simply go to www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/account/. You can access the same services as the NHS App from here.

3. Use a third party application such as Patient Access

You can sign into patient access here https://account.patientaccess.com/

Important Information about booking online

Although we realise it is convenient for our patients to be able to book online we have had problems with patients booking into the wrong types of slots or for the wrong amount of time and have had to turn them away. Please check below if you are unsure.

Nurse Appointments

  • Dressings, Removal of Sutures – book into a standard nurse appointment. However if you are aware that your change of dressing is complex and you may need a double or a triple appointment then please call the surgery.
  • Specialist Nurse Appointments – eg diabetes (Fiona Nugent),  COPD or asthma reviews (Ann Pearce or Fiona Nugent or Emma Ward), smears, the removal or insertion of contraceptive coils or implants (Pauline Fajer), Travel (Fiona Nugent or Emma Ward) must be booked into specialist slots and not in a general nurse appointment. Many of these require additional specialist training and not all our clinicians are qualified to carry out these procedures.
  • Blood tests – not to be booked into a general nurse appointment – they have their own designated slots with a phlebotomist or Healthcare/Nurse Assistant
  • Physical Health checks eg NHS Health Checks, Mental Health Physical Assessment have designated slots, usually with Becky Rogers.
